If you ask John, his career in the automotive world started long before he ever walked into a shop. Growing up right here in NE Minneapolis, he developed an interest in fixing cars at a young age. One of his first jobs was at a full-service gas station, where he began gaining hands-on experience and learning the ins and outs of the automotive business. A former colleague took him under his wing and taught him many of the skills that would shape his career, eventually helping him earn his automotive certification.

In 1983, he began working at the shop he would one day own. Over the next two decades, he built his career, his reputation, and lasting relationships with customers throughout NE Minneapolis and the surrounding communities. So, in 2004, when his boss decided to retire, he knew he was making the right decision by becoming the new owner.

The transition was a busy and exciting time, and he credits his wife for helping make it possible. While he focused on building and running the business, she kept things running smoothly at home and provided the support he needed to take on the challenge of business ownership.

When he isn’t at the shop, John spends most of his time up at his cabin soaking up everything it has to offer – boating, swimming, fishing, four-wheeling and especially snowmobiling. Most of all, he cherishes the downtime spent with his family and his grandkids.

After more than four decades at the shop, he’s looking forward to retirement – but he’s especially excited knowing the business will remain in the family. He is thrilled that his son, Jeff, will be taking over the shop and carrying on the tradition of honest, hardworking service.

For Jeff, fixing engines isn't just a job - it's a lifelong curiosity. Ever since he was a kid taking things apart just to see how they worked, he's had a natural knack for understanding the mechanics behind how things are put together. He turned that lifelong passion into professional expertise by graduating from Dunwoody College in 2008, and that strong technical foundation translates into honest, expert care for every vehicle that rolls into the shop.

When he's not under the hood or diagnosing engine troubles, you'll usually find him embracing the outdoors. Whether he's hitting the trails on a snowmobile or four-wheeler, or tearing up the water on a jet ski, he loves anything with a motor and a throttle. During hockey season, you can count on him cheering loud and proud for his favorite team: the Minnesota Wild.

Off the clock, his favorite role is family man. He's been happily married since 2013 and is a busy dad to three kids, ages 11, 8, and 4, who keep life fun, fast-paced, and full of energy.
